Eli Kaplan Wildmann is a designer and artistic director living and working in his favorite city, Jerusalem. He is one of the founders of the city’s Starcatcher Theater, where he has been director/designer on five musicals and producer/designer on several others; he also directed and designed the premiere production of a new Israeli musical, “Solika,” based on the Moroccan tale. Stateside, he has worked extensively on designing spaces for television, theater and events, with projects for NBC, MTV, ESPN, and off-Broadway. His artistic site-specific installations have been presented many times by various festivals in Israel. He studied set design and directing at NYU’s Drama Department.

עלי קפלן-וילדמן הוא מנהל אמנותי ומעצב של חוויות מוחשיות, המספר סיפורים בעזרת תיאטרון, מיצגים ואלמנטים עיצובים ייחודיים. הוא אוהב את, וגר, בירושלים, וגם עובד בניו יורק – שם עבד בברודווי ואוף-ברודווי. בישראל הוא עיצב עבור האופרה הירושלמית, תיאטרון פסיק, האקדמיה למוזיקה ופסטיבלי האור של ירושלים ובאר שבע. כבמאי, הוא הקים קבוצה ירושלמית המעלה מחזות זמר באנגלית, וגם ביים את המחזמר הישראלי “סוליקא” עבור חג המחזמר של בת ים. הוא לשעבר יושב ראש העמותה “חברותא – הומואים דתיים” וכרגע גבאי במניין השוויוני ההלכתי של ירושלים, “סוד שיח.”
